The Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo has a long and moved history since the foundation of the University in 1877. On the campus every single building tells the story of its respective times: from the famous Red Gate, dating back from the feudal period, over the Chemistry building built in 1916, to Tadao Ando's Fukutake Hall of 2008. Please take yourself time and enjoy a self guided tour. Explore the Hongo campus and its vicinity and undertake a time travel through Tokyo's built history. A detailed architectural tour guide will be available at the time of the APSA 2011 conference, along with historical maps of the surrounding traditional neighborhoods.

* The tour details will be announced on Accommodation & Tours page on our website.
